The trucking market outlook for 2023 does not look anywhere as good as the gurus would like you to believe. In this video, we'll look at April, May, June, and all the way to the end of 2023.
You see, the big boys like to talk a big game but it's also the big boys who see no reason for improvement for trucking in April 2023. In fact I don't see no major changes in May either and to be quite frank, the rest of the year is quite uncertain as well.
Now for all those YouTubers talking positively about the trucking industry in 2023, well, where's the data supporting this? There's no real data backing up a bullish outlook on freight.
The bottom line is that people like to talk and people tend to respond more to positivity and less to negativity and maybe that's why everyone's so positive and there's so much clickbait on YouTube.
The Outbound Tender Volumes are as flat as can be. Let's be honest, March was bad, April is bad, and May looks bad as well. Then there's produce, there's California produce and Florida produce and none of it is "producing" because of all the California floods and Florida floods of late.
No major demand in construction and new home starts is helping the flatbed market but flatbeds still fared better than vans and reefers but at the end of the day, ultimately, retail is down.
A whole lot more is covered in this fast-paced and informative video for all truckers working hard in today's trucking market.
