The U.S. refused to sign an agreement on challenges in the Arctic due to discrepancies over climate change wording, marring the end of a meeting of the Arctic Council in Finland. Mike Pompeo, Trump's Secretary of State, was at the meeting in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland in northern Finland to represent the U.S. at the meeting which also included Canada, Russia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland and indigenous peoples.
