I really didn't think I was ever going to compare these two games. In my head, Tony Hawk's Pro Skate 1 + 2 is a complete arcade game whereas Skater XL is a skateboarding simulator. I was streaming yesterday and I got a LOT of people "which game is better? Skater XL or THPS?" So I figured I might as well do a video addressing that question. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference (lame answer, I know, but it's true). If you're looking for realism, you're not going to find in in THPS 1 + 2. If you're looking for a fun arcade type game with goals and a story line, you're not going to find it in Skater XL. The choice is yours. Or just get both ;)
