In this video I introduce and go over how to cite a book in MLA format (8th edition) and use "Matilda" by Roald Dahl as an example. I highly encourage viewers to also check out Purdue Owl for more rules and how to cite other texts to avoid plagiarism.
I would like to clarify that although "Matilda" was published at an earlier date, I used 2007 because the specific book I was using was published again in 2007. Please use the publication year that your specific book/edition was published in :) You can check this by looking in your book or even online.
(Would also like to point out that a part of my citation ran off the page and cannot be seen. After I included the title "Matilda," I wrote "Puffin Books, 2007." to complete my citation)
