Hello friends! I hope all of you are doing well. This video was made yesterday on August 11 in celebration of Hip-hop's birthday. My whole plan was to do a walk through video of me making a quick beat on the Akai MPC 4000. I have a ton of beats on the MPC 4000, that have yet to see the light of day, especially since I've been enjoying the MPC 2000XL and Roland SP 404SX combo. I think its time to focus on the 4000 and really try to fill the machine up with some more bangers, Anyway in this video, I give a little bit more insight in the production process. I used the Akai S950, which I should feature more on the channel, to sample all my sounds through to get that beautiful 12 bit grit and then do a little bit of resampling to 12 bit in the 4000, to get more ring and lofi feel. I wanted to make a boom bap beat, but the sample is very lofi inspired. So you can say it's a mixture of both. I hope you guys enjoy this beat on the MPC 4000 and let me know if you want to see more in depth videos, with the 4000! Thank you for watching!!
