Former President Donald Trump is now seeking to overturn his New York 'hush money' conviction following the immunity ruling given from the Supreme Court on Monday.
The court's decision that Trump and any other future president cannot be prosecuted for official acts most directly impacts the federal case involving Trump's attempts to stay in office after losing the 2020 election.
But Trump's lawyers have already asked a New York judge to throw out the former president's conviction in the criminal hush money case, even though Trump allegedly committed the crimes before he became president.
