What's the difference between equity and equality? In the U.S., we talk a lot about “equality.” But for all of us to have a fair and just opportunity to live our healthiest lives, we need to talk more about “equity.” Equity means different people might need different things to thrive much like we all need different types, sizes, and kinds of bikes to get from one place to another comfortably.
