Is it worth and wise to use manual Nikon Nikkor lenses on Leica M240 and other M-mount Leica cameras? I think so. This video explains my thoughts and reasoning to do so.
Leica M-mount camera bodies, M9, M240, M10 etc and Leica lenses are high quality and are high price compared to most other camera manufacturers.
We all agree the lens is the most important element in photography, contrast, detail, bokeh, etc. Other factors are also important, such as physical elements like size, weight, weather proofing, closest focusing distances, etc.
The older Nikon Nikkor AI and AIS lenses offer versatility and options to complement the suite of Leica lenses available and at a fraction off the price.
In my opinion, its worth investing in old quality to complement new photographic technology, such as Leica M-mount camera bodies, digital and film.
