German Air Force Sikorsky CH-53G Sea Stallion helicopter making a very rare visit to RAF Shawbury!! Info direct from RAF Shawbury - "RAF Shawbury celebrated the graduation of 22 aircrew from No.1 Flying Training School, watched by proud family and friends.
The trainees,18 pilots and four rearcrew, included 11 from the German Armed Forces who received British Wings, German Wings, and their German flying licenses from the Reviewing Officer, Rear Admiral Anthony Rimington, who was by joined Brigadier General Dr Volker Bauersachs and Brigadier General Frank Best from the German Armed Forces. Frontline aircraft from both nations were on display to add to the occasion."
