I figure this is a good time to debut a music video we made from our livestream show on April 3rd. I chose to sing my favorite Bob Dylan song that day, “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall” and make a video for it that reflects what this song means to me. The lyrics are so powerful. The song talks of suffering in various shapes and forms. War, famine, hatred, inequality, greed, etc. But in the end when we come together in times of crisis as so many are doing now, we grow and we develop a deeper sense of love through our very own natural compassion. This video is also meant to pay homage to those on the front lines of this pandemic right now. Without whom, things would be so much worse for so many. Thank you for your tireless sacrifice to keep us all safe and fed.
On a very minor scale, my experience delivering my 2nd son at the hospital on Wednesday April 8th, reminded me that when we start caring about the suffering of others we almost immediately let go of our own self-worry and anxiety. Imagine if we could all pull this off right now and in our lives in general. If every being in the world began to really care about the suffering of others. No War. No famine. No inequality. No hatred. No greed. NO FEAR. So that is what this classic Dylan song says to me. Hope you enjoy. Love, Dana
