Healthy Breakfast Wheat Puttu recipe in tamil |கோதுமை புட்டு| Godhumai Puttu recipe| No Sugar recipe

Welcome to Pot to Plates Kitchen, Today i am going to show how to make healthy Wheat Puttu, I didn't add any sugar in this recipe.
You can have it for breakfast and even as evening snacks, this can be served to children or elders as i didn't added any sugar.
This is Palm Jaggery syrup, i use this as a substitute for Sugar. For 250 grams Palm Jaggery, add 50 ml water and boil it till you get syrup consistency and allow it cool down & filter it.
Even this Syrup can be added to tea/ Coffee instead of sugar, also given as side dish for tiffin items to children.
In a heated Pan , add 1 cup wheat flour and dry roast till aroma comes out , maintain medium flame through out. Boil a bowl of water in Parallel.
Once the flour is fried, move it to another bowl add 1.5 tsp of Jaggery syrup, 1/4 tsp salt and add 1/4 cup boiled water step by step & mix the flour with spoon/spatula.
Once the heat reduces , use your hand to mix the flour and make sure no lumps left. Grind the flour in blender just for 30 seconds, so that flour wont be sticky or no lumps will be there.
Add 1/2 cup Crated coconut with this , if you like cardamom add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and mix well. Keep this flour in a idly container & steam cook it.
It take only 6 to 7 mins to cook, After its cooked move it to another bowl & Soft and add 1 tsp ghee to this and mix well.Delicious wheat Puttu will be ready.
When the Puttu is hot add the ghee, then only it will mix with the Puttu evenly. This is tastier & healthy than the rice puttu.
