What was supposed to be an easy-short workday turned out to be something completely unexpected! Our flight was diverted to El Salvador due to weather near the airport where we were originally supposed to land. We landed in El Salvador to allow the weather to pass and to refuel the airplane. We stayed on the tarmac for a few hours with an airplane full of passengers still waiting to go to their original destination, Guatemala. The Boeing 737 airplane was taken out of service for repair which meant that passengers and crew had to stay in El Salvador overnight. As a flight attendant you never know what the day will bring. You have to be prepared for anything and everything to change at any moment. Come with me on today’s unexpected adventure!
