Percival is a carrier-oriented perfume that is more suited for men. This is quite interesting: For me, this fruity, spicy, and fresh perfume is a perfect gourmet version of a finely woven, shower gel-like vibe. Sexiness, spice, subtle freshness with depth, and grooming are the associations that come to mind with Percival. The transformation of a traditional pattern into a newly and modernly interpreted fragrance approach has something to it and is not as uncreative as one might think.
However, whether synthetic or natural fragrance components are used here is another matter. Does it make Percival worse if more or less natural fragrance oils are in the perfume? Not at all. One should just be aware that, regardless of the ingredients used, this is an expensive version of a sporty, deep character scent. By the way, it has long-lasting durability.
In any case, the wearer of such a Parfums de Marly wants to present style and character, and also to underscore noble and dignified behavior in the office, within the family, or among friends, even in advanced age. But beware: If the noble-sporty, fresh-spicy-fresh character with depth that Percival inherently possesses does not match its wearer, then this combination of wearer/perfume would be rather repellent and inappropriate, almost ridiculous. Everyone should be aware of this. So one could say: It certainly has something, doesn’t it?
