✨RESTAURANT-WORTHY GUACAMOLE!✨
Once upon a time, I was the queen of the guacamole cart, making tableside guac at a buzzy tapas restaurant until the bar closed. 👑😅
It was the most un-glamorous job I ever had…BUT it did teach me how to make a damn good guac. 🥑
I learned that smashing the onion, jalapeño, & garlic in a molcajete releases tons of flavorful juices to fold into the avocado. These days, a zip-top bag & rolling pin get the job done!
Over the years I’ve added lots of cilantro, lime juice, & my secret ingredient, Tajíin to make a chunky, creamy guac bursting with citrusy, spicy flavor. Truly the best ever.
2 large, ripe Hass avocados
¼ red onion
2 jalapeño peppers
2 cloves garlic
1 lime
⅓ C chopped cilantro
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp each: garlic powder, Tajíin
