This run followed three additional personal best times earlier in the day, utilizing spreadsheets that allow for isolating the seed number by simply cross-referencing a few things in the game. All of my previous pbs were done on the fly, but since I had lost the WR to someone who also used this method, I decided I needed to also try it out :) Thank you to TascoDLX for generating all of the seed information I used to achieve this, and thanks to Chillpower, Gaunt_XIII, ViolentSynergy, LadyStarbird, and SchmidttyGames for pushing this game's speedrun over the years.
King's Bounty was a game made in 1990 by New World Computing for the PC. It was ported to the Genesis in 1991 with a number of changes, but the same basic gameplay. It has been a favorite of mine since I first watched my father play it back in the day. This game later spawned the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, which operated off of some similar principles but in a much more RPG-sense.
The category for this speedrun, 100%, requires that you gain every puzzle piece, meaning you need to capture every villain and find every relic. The run ends after all puzzle pieces have been found and the Sceptre is located, initiating the end game sequence.
