When it comes to loss, one of the most difficult things a person can experience is the death of a child. Kayla Lauriano, a Labor and Delivery nurse with a passion for bereavement care, experienced an ectopic pregnancy resulting in emergency surgery in 2020.
Her experience coupled with her passion for supporting those who inspired her to create Wounded Womb, a workshop dedicated to moving through the emotions of grief with breath work, asana and story sharing. She is a Resolve Through Sharing coordinator, a prenatal/perinatal loss yoga instructor and a photographer whose work focuses on motherhood and labor and delivery. She volunteers her time and expertise to capture the first and last moments for families experiencing the devastating loss of their baby.
