Two of the 27 orbiting moons of Uranus may have active oceans hidden beneath their icy surface and could be emitting material into surrounding space. The main candidates for hidden oceans are the moons, Miranda and Ariel. The new finding was uncovered when astronomers looked back at particle data collected by Voyager 2 when it flew past Uranus in 1986.
