About this video:
Disclaimer- This may cause damage to your MIG welder due to current overload if the voltage is set too high. Attempt at your own risk. It only works with some MIG welders, not all. I tried it with a Millermatic 135 (worked), Lincoln Power MIG 255 (worked), and a small budget import welder (didn't work).
Amperage (heat input) can be variably controlled similar to normal MIG welding. To reduce heat input, increase the distance between the tungsten and the weld joint. To increase amperage and penetration, hold the tungsten as close as possible without touching the puddle.
This is fun to try, but has no practical application (due to lack of precision) compared to TIG welding with an actual TIG welding machine.
-DCEN polarity
-Scratch start
-Argon gas
