Polar Vortex brought extreme temperatures to Chicago along with beautiful icy landscapes. Dangerous temperatures reaching up to -50 F wind chills transformed Chicago river and lake Michigan to solid ice. Arctic Chicago was shot by Dji Mavic 2 Pro on Friday morning with 9F temperatures. Overnight fallen fresh snow covered all ice creating amazing and unique scenery. Chicago did not experienced so low Arctic temperatures in years setting new records in a lot of areas. I was not able to capture steaming lake due to low temperatures and drone safety but nature painted beautiful picture after all.
