On July 3rd 2010, Brock Lesnar Proved That He Is The Baddest Man On The Planet!
Timeline for UFC 116
In 2009, Brock Lesnar was tasked with facing the scariest legit one punch knockout artist in UFC history and only man to match Lesnar's size and strength at that time. A man in Shane Carwin who no one could even get out of the first round against!
However right before his third heavyweight title defense in the UFC against Shane Carwin, Lesnar pulled out of the bout due to the infection, which inflames the walls of the intestines. The doctors found that feces were leaking out of Lesnar’s colon and into the rest of his body.
On November 16th 2009, Lesnar underwent surgery for his condition. However it would not be the last time the diverticulitis would effect Lesnar's UFC career.
On January 2010, Lesnar announced on ESPN he would be returning to the UFC to fight the winner of Shane Carwin vs Frank Mir to unify UFC heavyweight belt.
In the meantime Shane Carwin has a interim title fight against Frank Mir at UFC 111 on March 27th, where he delivered brutal ground and pound that rendered Mir unconscious.
Brock Lesnar returns on July 3rd at UFC 116 despite still suffering with diverticulitis that he thought was out of his life, and survives Shane Carwin's heavy hands in round 1 where if the fight took place today it would have been stopped.
In round 2 Shane Carwin is completely gassed, so Brock Lesnar takes him down with a beautiful double leg and sinks in a deep arm triangle choke that forces Carwin to tap and making Brock Lesnar the baddest man on the planet at that point of time.
