In this video, learn how to use the valuable power up options on the Fluke 87V Industrial Multimeter.

+ Disable the automatic "power-off": Hold the yellow button and turn on the meter. This will allow the Fluke 87V to stay on rather than turning off after 30 minutes of use.

+ Enable "Smoothing" function: Hold the range key and turn on the multimeter. This will allow the Fluke 87V to take multiple readings before your measurements appear on the display.

+ Disable the beeper: Hold the continuity key and turn on the multimeter.

+ Enable "zoom mode" bar graph: Hold down the relative button and turn on the multimeter. This allows the Fluke 87v to display an amplified version of a bar graph. If you press the relative button again, it will take a current reading and display signal variations.
