The brand new book, The Emerging Asian City: Concomitant Urbanities and Urbanisms, provides a generative platform for engaging the fertile approaches in research, art and design that exist across Parsons, and to nudge them in even more invigorating directions. Exciting, cross-disciplinary and collaborative approaches to Asian cities now include photography, multimedia platforms, art and fashion, social engagements, and innovative pedagogies that radically rethink the design of cities. This public symposium consists of a series of thematic conversations between Parsons faculty and scholar/practitioners who contributed to The Emerging Asian City.
