Concrete will have a faster initial set up time with heat. Concrete does not "dry" when it's fresh, which some people new to working with concrete may think; the hardening process is called curing. Water is the catalyst ingredient for making the sand, cement and aggregate ingredients of a concrete mix into actual concrete. When the water is added to the dry ingredients and they are mixed together, this begins the chemical process of actuation or hardening of the concrete mix. Heat does increase the initial set up time and strength of fresh concrete but moisture or hydration is the key to making concrete as strong as possible.
If you want to make the concrete cure faster and better, tarp it with plastic to trap both the heat of the chemical actuation process and the moisture produced. The concrete will set up faster and it will be a little stronger a little earlier, but at the end of the full curing period (about one month) the finished strength will be the same. The heat added at the beginning did nothing to increase the finished strength. If you want to have the strongest finished concrete, keep it well hydrated during the curing process, especially at the early stages.
