Caught On Camera, Extrication Of Man Heavily Entrapped In Crushed Car After Head On Crash.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, including the Technical Rescue Team did an amazing job of saving this man's life after he is hit head on by a pickup truck that was apparently trying to pass vehicles in his lane. A man who lives right in front of the scene told me he spoke to the driver of the truck and asked what happened. He said he was running late to his destination and was attempting to pass the slow drivers in front of him. It was during his attempt to pass the slower vehicles in front of him that the crash occurred. Firefighters used the Jaws Of Life to cut the car apart and winches to pull the vehicles apart and off of the trapped victim. The victim eventually was freed from the mangled wreckage and taken by Air Rescue South to a nearby trauma center. There is an interview with Fire Rescue at the end of the video.
