Why Africa went Mute on Gaddafi.
As much as Muammar Gaddafi was despised by the West, particularly France, Italy, Britain and America, he made a lot of enemies and was also viewed as a threat to some African regimes and is possible that this explains why organs of the continent such as the African Union looked on silently, without a whimper of protest in 2011, when Western armies moved in and deposed him.
