John F. Carafoli Food Consultant • Food Stylist • Author • BlogerJohn F. Carafoli is an author, consultant, bloger and internationally know food stylist. After graduating from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, he was an art director/designer and creative director for advertising agencies and publishers in Chicago. Returning to his East Coast roots, he began a career in food writing and food styling, starting with the Boston Globe.
Carafoli wrote the seminal book Food Photography and Styling, and two children's cookbooks, Look Who's Cooking and The Cookie Cookbook. His latest book Cape Cod Chef's Table, Recipes from Buzzards Bay to Provincetown is now available in bookstores. He has been published in Gastronomica, The Journal of Food and Culture, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Edible Cape Cod where he won an EDDY for Best use of Recipes in a feature and has been profiled in the Italian publication of ER (Emilia Romagna). In addition to presenting papers at the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery in England, he has organized the biannual International Conference on Food Styling and Photography at Boston University. Carafoli was also featured on the TV Food network's Ultimate Kitchens.
Currently he is working on an Italian/American cookbook centering on Italian immigrants in a Cape Cod village. carafoli.com
