Hairy leukoplakia is an indicator of oral cancer. Green tongue is basically when the papilla’s on the tongue are inflamed, it appears like a hair like suture on the tongue and depending on what food substances that you are having, the drinks that you are having, the hair particles or the papilla will get stained and give you an indication of a green tongue, black tongue, brown tongue, depending on the colour of the substances. As such it is not an indicator of oral cancer. There could be a candidial infection that could cause this green tongue or black tongue or brown tongue. When it comes to any oral cancer or carcinoma, never do any self-diagnosis, always visit your dentist or the doctor and always get the right diagnosis after the tests are being done.
