Alakh Pandey's father was a contractor, and his mother was a teacher. Despite their efforts, they struggled to make ends meet. When Alakh was in the 6th grade, their financial condition worsened to the point where his father had to sell their house.

To support his family, Alakh started teaching young children. He always dreamed of cracking the IIT entrance exam, but unfortunately, he couldn't achieve this dream. He dropped out of college and took a teaching job that paid him a modest salary of 5,000 rupees per month.

In 2014, Alakh Pandey started a YouTube channel named "Physics Wallah." Initially, he did not achieve success, but he didn't give up. Gradually, he improved his teaching methods and style, which began to attract more viewers.

His persistence paid off over time. His unique and engaging way of teaching complex physics concepts made his channel increasingly popular among students preparing for competitive exams. Today, Physics Wallah has over 12.5 million subscribers on YouTube and runs a company worth over a billion dollars.
