Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp lemon juice, about 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup buttermilk (milk - 1/2 cup+ 1 1/2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice)

For the Lemon icing

1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp milk
