M6 closed as HGV severely damaged in fire
Horrifying pictures show the aftermath of a crash where a lorry was sliced in half before bursting into flames.
It is unclear exactly what happened but photos shared on social media show the cabin having detached, with the trailer left mangled under the fly over.
⛔️ Traffic was stopped in both directions on the #M6 in #Staffordshire on Sunday afternoon due to a crash involving a lorry that caught fire.The M6 is CLOSED between #J12 (#Cannock) and #J13 (#Stafford) due to a serious collision involving a HGV.
🚑🚒🚔🚁The Midlands Air Ambulance and all other emergency services attended scene. The injuries of those involved are not yet known.

near Stafford at around 11.40 am this morning (April 16).
