Here's a quick comparison demo of the DOD 'Gunslinger' and the Ginean GD11 'Excitation' MOSFET distortion guitar pedals. They are both feature Gain, Volume, Low and High knobs. My understanding is that the Ginean is clone of the DOD pedal.

This was played using the bridge humbucker pickup of an 'S' style guitar and the sound was recorded direct through a Korg D3200 Mutlitrack Recorder using an Avid Eleven Rack Effects Processor.

My conclusion is that they sound very similar if not exaclty the same. At least Ginean made an effort to make their pedal clone look different!
