Take the pledge at nmvote100.org!
In New Mexico there is a thin margin of six swing-seat Representatives who hold the line on pro-choice laws. If they lose their seats this November to anti-choice Republicans it could take the state back decades to a time when women were treated as second-class citizens.
This has repercussions for New Mexicans, and women across the country who must now travel to the state for reproductive health care. The six swing-seat Representatives who uphold pro-choice legislation announced a new initiative called Vote 100.
The initiative is a pledge drive asking New Mexicans to vote in all elections until 100 percent of Americans have equal reproductive rights. The drive culminates with a text rally for Women's Equality Day on August 26, 2022.
Helming the initiative are six Albuquerque women in swing-seat districts. These are seats deemed as the most vulnerable toss-ups in the upcoming November election. The women are Rep. Meredith Dixon, Rep. Natalie Figueroa, Rep. Joy Garratt, Rep. Pamelya Herndon, Charlotte Little, and Rep. Marian Matthews.
