Today I join my friend Mikey on the Commercial Fishing Vessel Julie Girl offshore from the coast of Cornwall to help him work his nets and bring them ashore. I am spending a day in the life of a Monkfish fisherman. Monkfish is the common name given to fish in the Lophius family of fish. These are a deepwater species of fish that lives on the seabed luring in and ambushing its prey. We work his commercial nets, then prep, clean and land the catch.
