Science Experiments with Ashrita and Learning Science is Fun:
In this video, i have done a very simple science experiment with water.
This is an easy to do science experiment specially for kids at home.
This experiment is the burning candle and rising water experiment
I have lit a candle which is in a bowl with some water and covered with with a glass. Once it is covered, the oxygen inside gets depleted which reduces the volume of air and creating some amount of vacuum.
This makes the water rise it's level inside the glass.
You can do this at home easily and learn science with fun with your children.
This video can be very useful for parents to teach their children about this experiment.
Children can also try to do this easy experiment at home with the help of their parents and understand the principle of science.
Teachers can also use this video to show to their students in classes so that kids can be explained about this topic on the projector screen.
The Science Behind this Experiment:
The oxygen inside gets depleted due to the burning candle. Once oxygen reduces, this lowers the volume of air inside & hence it creates some vacuum pressure that sucks in water to a different level.
