Interesting time back aboard American Airlines checking out both their long-haul economy offering and their short-haul product on a journey from London Heahtrow through to Las Vegas.
I got things kicked off aboard the American Boeing 777-200 en route to LAX, a flight lasting almost 11 hours! With a fairly average recent experience with the airline still fresh in my mind, it wasn't necessarily one I was looking forward to. However, all in all, they did pretty good. The Main Cabin Extra seats are very much worth going for if you can get them as they do provide some of the best standards of comfort I've ever had back in economy. I was glad to report that on this occasion the food was much improved so on balance, a really excellent start.
In the second part of the journey, we'll check out the short hope from LAX through to Vegas aboard their regional Airbus A321 again, in the Main Cabin Extra. The flight was too short to say anything on the food offering however and again, from a seat comfort point of view, American Airlines did great.
