Chahohbili-Georgian Chicken Stew (ჩახოხბილი) (Чахохбили)
Chahohbili ჩახოხბილი is a Georgian traditional method to stew a chicken. It is very health and easy to cook. Chahohbili is a great idea for lunch and dinner!
You can breakdown a whole chicken and stew it, or you can buy only the pieces you like. The recipe in the video is based on the whole chicken. Chohobili has good shelf life, so do not worry if you put it in the fridge, you can enjoy it through out the week. You can serve it with rice or pasta, however in Georgia people enjoy without garnish, but they are eating it wit lavash or any other bread.
Here is a recipe:
1 coriander bunch
3 sliced garlic cloves
3 cut scallions and 2 onions
1 sliced bell pepper
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp Georgian spice khmeli-suneli ( [ Ссылка ] )
3-4 bay leaves
1 tbsp tomato paste
10 tomatoes (you can use 1 canned diced tomatoes)
500ml chicken broth
1 glass of Sauvignon Blanc
1 whole chicken
