6 year old Tariq wouldn’t believe me right now but last Friday I got to share the stage with my biggest childhood idol, @candydulfer1110!

When I just started playing the saxophone, my dad got me this mp3-player (on which you could put like 10 songs) and he put some of Candy’s songs on it, introducing me to her crazy talent. I’ve been hugely inspired by her ever since and it motivated me to get better and better every day.

Last Friday, my man Kelvin Allison invited me to join him for a song in Club Dauphine and when I got there, Kelvin told me Candy was there too, giving me this slight anxiety because I needed to step up my game then 😂 Little did I know they had an even bigger surprise, when she suddenly joined us on stage for an actual sax battle! First time in years I’ve actually felt nervous on stage again 😂, but man. First time meeting Candy, hearing her play live AND actually playing together? Can’t describe how grateful I am for this experience ✨ A childhood dream came true!
