The IKEA Bekant, IKEA Rodulf and Rol Ego desks appear to have several known electrical issues with their mechanism, one of which relates to the up/down controller ceasing to function. IKEA customer service are painfully slow to respond and so I spoke directly with the manufacturer (Rol Ergo, a lovely lady called Taiba) and got an immediate fix!
