We sat down with Ryan Hogden, Training and Onboarding Manager here at myCNAjobs to answer some common questions about recruiting Caregivers and CNAs. Today’s question is
“Is social media becoming a more viable recruiting channel?” Check out his response in the quick video below:
"Well agencies are certainly starting to use more of an array of social media channels. I think previously it was pretty exclusive to Facebook, a lot of offices using Facebook accounts. But hey, I’m talking to folks that are using Instagram, and using LinkedIn as other possible channels to reach out to Caregivers. At the end of the day it’s really just more tools that you can be adding to your toolbelt. Ultimately, these are just channels. The offices I’m speaking to have varying degrees of success from recruiting on those social media channels. I think ultimately it’s about your messaging. What are you communicating through those different means of getting in touch with Caregivers? Are you making it clear to them in a market where they have a lot of options - why would they come and want to work for you? What’s on the table for them? What’s distinctive about your culture and about your brand and agency? And maybe those things are actually great to communicate through those social media channels. You can give folks a clearer picture of what your culture is in your office. So, some potentially great resources. But in the end, I think it’s still all about your messaging."
