If you're looking for the '60s blackface Fender amp sound, you'll be confronted with a whole slew of choices. And while the real thing does still sound the best, the Universal Audio Dream '65 Reverb Amp and the Strymon Iridium do an outstanding job achieving those tones without all the headaches that come with owning a full-size tube amp. In this video, I'm putting them head-to-head to see which Fender amp simulator pedal best fits your needs!
We'll also be comparing both these high-end pedals with my Dr. Z EZG-50 tube amp which is based on a '60s Fender Super Reverb. Remember, there's no winner here. Both of these pieces of gear are outstanding and have clear pros and cons (which I'll cover at the end of the video).
