The Boss GT1000 doesn't have Bluetooth as standard, meaning cables to desktop app are required to edit if you don't want to use the device menu.
Now, thanks to CME WiDi Jack - and a Midi app on my iPad - Boss Tone Central works fully on the iPad / iPhone.
But that's not all. Can we have other midi enabled pedals working in sequence - so will one WiDi Jack suffice or do I need one per device? Well, I'm hoping one per pedal manufacturer maybe the compromise... but here we have an RC500 talking to the GT1000 Core via Midi, and still working with FS-7 pedal to allow for patch changes.
Yet to fully program all the Midi Commands, but as you can see it all works – and fits snuggly!
*** Update: I found a snag in the configuration and posted a new video, for expansion ***

You will need their VERY SHORT 3.5 - 2.5mm cables from Core to Jack.
It's a 2.5mm connect on the Jack and a 3.5mm connection on the Core.

If you want to add more pedals in the chain, then you'll need a couple of longer cables for linking to another device too. The ones I am using here are:
Right angle 2.5 - 3.5mm cable (20cm) length
(Can use two of these, to connect Jack to Core, if the shorter ones are still out of stock...)

Right angle 3.5 - 3.5mm cable (50cm) length
(this is for Boss to Boss pedals using 3.5mm TRS)
