The Fred Hollows IOL Laboratory is an internationally recognised manufacturing facility and an integral part of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
The Fred Hollows Intraocular lens Laboratory (FH IOL Lab), has been striving for excellence in intraocular lenses (IOLs) manufacturing and has been producing innovative and superior intraocular lens designs and supporting products since its inception in 1995. Initiated by The Fred Hollows Foundation in Australia, its products are sold to almost 30 countries around the world.
As an integral part of Tilganga Eye Centre, The Fred Hollows IOL Laboratory is an internationally recognised manufacturing facility which produces high-quality intraocular lenses that are sold not only in Nepal but to countries around the world. Commissioned in 1995 with funding from the Fred Hollows Foundation in Australia, and designed and constructed by engineers and technicians from New Zealand, Australia and Nepal, the laboratory guarantees the highest quality manufacturing facility and a finished product that matches world-class standards.
