It's going to be a warm Friday in Charlotte but there is a chance for weekend storms in the Carolinas. On this episode of #WakeUpCLT To Go, forecaster Larry Sprinkle and meteorologist Chris Mulcahy have the latest weekend forecast for the Charlotte metro, including the likely conditions for Saturday's Charlotte FC match!
Friday will be an unseasonably warm day with afternoon temperatures in the 80s. Some areas could hit the upper 80s. The high for Charlotte is 88, set all the way back in 1929. We likely won't hit that, but it will be warm across North Carolina and South Carolina.
Saturday will be another warm day but afternoon temperatures will only reach the upper 70s. Larry Sprinkle's forecast calls for scattered showers with the possibility of strong-to-severe storms in areas south and east of Charlotte. Those locations include Rockingham, Fayetteville and Raleigh in North Carolina. It will be windy with gusts up to 35 mph across the region Saturday afternoon.
Sunday will be a nice day with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. There is a chance of showers late Sunday into early Monday morning but Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny in the Charlotte area. #WakeUpCLT #Weather #Forecast
