It's important to pick a natural length such as 14 or 16 inches when choosing the perfect set of hair extensions for short hair. We recommend using a 9-piece set particularly for short, blunt haircuts to ensure seamless natural blending.
⇒ Steps: How to apply hair extensions to short hair
Take a section of your hair at the nape area; backcomb, twist, and use pins to hold the portion in place. By doing so, you’ll be hiding any short hair strands around your neck that could reveal you’re wearing extensions. Take the 2-piece weft and apply it around your nape area.
Now, segment your hair roughly an inch above the first weft that you put in and use a clip to section off the hair and keep it out of the way. Pop open the 3-clip piece and put it in near the scalp, starting with the centre clip.
Next, open the segmented hair and create another portion of hair above the last row. Use a clip to hold the section in place. Now put in the 5-clip piece, as this is the widest area of your head. Repeat the same process with the second 5-clip extension at an even distance above the last row.
Next, follow the same steps to apply two 3-clip extensions an inch above the last 5-clip extension that you applied, making sure they cover the sides and go over each other at the back of your head.
Now, apply a 2-clip piece on the right side of your head, followed by a 1-clip piece just above it. Be sure the wefts are at a bit of distance from your hairline.

After applying all of the wefts, you can use a hair straightener to smoothen over any kinks and add shape to the front and ends of your hair.
