My first video on how to drain gas from a generator has been getting lots of views and good comments such as: 1) you can also run the generator dry of gas, and 2) remember to drain the gas from the carburetor — Both are good points. For me, if there is a lot of gas in the tank, I prefer draining it rather than running it dry. To that point, after draining the tank, the carburetor will retain a few ounces of gas. If this gas is left in the carburetor over time, the gas will sludge or gunk up the carburetor and it will be hard to start or will not start at all. So, if you don't run your generator dry, follow these easy instructions to drain the last bit of gas from your generator's carburetor.
