Emma Nicholas-Jennings’ original aim was combining something she loved with making a living for her young family. With a NAB Microenterprise loan behind her, Emma and her husband Gary have built a successful gelateria that inspires old-fashioned neighbourliness. Classic flavours made with fruit the locals bring in are given inventive twists that keep everyone from Italian grandmothers to metropolitan foodies coming back for more.
In their first year Miinot Gelato managed to convert everyone from local old-timers to urban trend spotters Broadsheet, The Urban List and The Age Good Food with their twists on Italian and Australian flavours.
