One of the rarest and finest blue Fluorite specimens I have seen from the world class Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia, China. Acquired by myself from a business trip with my father to Mongolia in August 2013, I have never seen anything similar since then. It is mesmerizing, not only for their superb, perfect octaheral shape but also the rich green-blue color. Fluorite with a natural octahedral shape is rare, and in this perfect condition and great color is just unbelievable. These Fluorite octahedra are translucent to gemmy which exhibit gorgeous deep purple phantoms, outstanding! Associated with Milky Quartz and micro crystals of Calcite, it is so well-balanced, colorful and showy. It is way better in person than photos and video. The Fluorite crystals display a bright purple-blue color under UV lighting 365nm. Comes with a high quality copper-wired display stand.
Fluorite's Maintenance Advice:
Fluorite is extremely susceptible to sunlight, some colours fade slower than others, but they all fade under sunlight. The effect also happens under normal halogen light. Therefore keep Fluorite in a darker part of the home and away from direct sunlight.
