On my 5th Generation RAM 1500 truck, the rear windows previously leaked water into the cab. If you are somewhat handy, you can repair it.
A window installer recommended urethane over silicone as these windows are put in with urethane sealer. I used a 3M urethane body seam sealer. One tube was enough for both windows. Don't forget to caulk down the sides. This urethane also tools really well. Remove the tape before it cures.
The truck recently went through two days of heavy rain and the window does not leak anymore.
Update - I missed two spots and did not get the sealer in far enough, which resulted in a slight leak, but not near as bad as it was originally, and had to apply more sealer. It does not leak now, and recently went through a week long rain event that dumped about 10" of water over that period.
I had previously tested the third brake light and shark fin and they were not leaking.
Also, these window leaks can leak water into the RF hub behind the rear seat and short it out. It communicates with your key fob and if it fails you may not be able to drive it, and you’ll end up buying a new RF hub, fun!
