So kukun kun's channel has been a massive treasure-trove of Japanese gaming history as of late.

In yesterday's upload of Game Catalogue II, Mother 3 was featured in the Nintendo SpaceWorld 1996 coverage segment of the show, which aired on TV Asahi on December 11, 1996. While most of the material is actually nothing particularly new, there are some never-before-seen snippets of what appears to be the forest or jungle area that was most known for featuring what appeared to be an early model for either Lucas or Claus. Or even, if the erratic nature of MOTHER 3's development is concerned, Ness. Details from this era of development is highly scarce.

I've applied some Photoshop filtering to enhance the footage as best as it could be to make out more details without making the reflections from the TV that the camera is recording off-screen from too apparent. I feel like I've transformed the clip enough that it warrants my watermark (which I think it can allow me to sidestep the rule of ethics I typically have for these kinds of uploads).
