What’s happening in this Vertical Limit movie clip?
The nitro falls from Cyril's backpack and creates a huge explosion that the other teams notice. Cyril is able to climb back up, however, while he cheers arrogantly lowering a harness for Monique, they both hear a rumbling noise. The explosion and crackling has in fact started an avalanche and is heading straight for Cyril. Cyril, unable to do anything, watches and screams helplessly as the avalanches swamps him and subsequently throws him over the edge off the peak.

What’s the Vertical Limit movie about?
While climbing in the Utah desert, Royce Garret (Stuart Wilson from Lethal Weapon 3) and his two children, Peter (Chris O'Donnell from Scent of a Woman and School Ties) and Annie (Robin Tunney from The Mentalist), along with two friends, are having a good time joking with each other. Suddenly, one of their climbing buddies falls and his climber falls off the wall, taking his climbing buddy and Royce Garret with him. Royce Garret managed to hold onto a piton and, given the seriousness of his situation, he ordered his son to cut the rope that was holding him or else he and his sister would also die. In the end, Peter cuts the rope. Three years later, in the Karakoram in Pakistan, Peter became a wildlife photographer for National Geographic. Annie and him have never spoken since that fateful day. She continues her father's dream: to conquer the highest peaks in the world. Chance brings them together at the foot of K2, where the billionaire Elliot Vaughn (Bill Paxton from Apollo 13 and Big Love) is organizing an expedition. For the young woman, this mountain, known to be dangerous, is an important challenge...
